A fresh vision and identity...
The Lord got our attention in 2022 with a new identity to be salt and light in the world, as Jesus taught in Matthew 5. We consider it our mission to help preserve the culture from decay by being His salt, while also shining the Light of Jesus as a beacon of hope in a world craving to be valued. We do this in a way that embraces each person and whole families, considering all ages and backgrounds in our activities, and recognizing many who have roots in the area as well as those who consider themselves transplants from other places in the world. This blend treasures both the Lord's diverse work as well as the unifying nature of His Holy Spirit.
To shine the light of Jesus around us...
While we enjoy the fellowship of the church body, we really love being the hands and feet of Jesus, ministering to those around us...
- Compiling Snack Packs for students at local schools experiencing food insecurity on the weekends
- Supporting the Newton Pregnancy Resource Center providing hope for those with unplanned pregnancies
- Donating and volunteering for crisis relief ministries through Samaritan's Purse
- Hosting a variety of community activities to create a neighborhood atmosphere and engage in conversations
- Offering our fields for baseball teams to practice and our facilities for families to gather for celebrations
After years of community impact...
This property has been dedicated for church usage since the 1960's. Thousands of people have called this place their church home, or fostered team spirit through sporting leagues on the ball fields, which laid the foundation for the future of God's story and work here in Covington, GA.
